The Bioboost consortium forms a strong value chain of 9 companies which gives good opportunities for commercialization of developed solutions. The consortium consists of raw material suppliers (Klabin, Stora Enso), machine suppliers (Valmet, Carbofex), and end users of fractionated lignins and derived materials (Nokian tyres, Teknikum, Koskisen, BASF, and Grafintec). The consortium is strengthened with a wide international network of partners, which further expands the expertise available for the research work carried out in Bioboost. This unique combination is expected to bring significant international export potential for Finnish companies in a growing industrial sector related to biorefining and forest products, machinery, polymers, biobased carbon materials and electrical mobility.
